Under certain extenuating circumstances, the United States can designate a country for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) as a result of some emergent situation occurring within that particular country. For those eligible aliens, our office prepares and submits all of the necessary paperwork and supporting documents required by the INS to apply for TPS. Our office also offers assistance in TPS renewals. The majority of the cases we are handling at this time are nationals of El Salvador who entered prior to 2/13/01 and renewals of cases of Honduran Nationals who have been already found eligible.
